RNLI warning to parents following Peel rescue

Lifeboat crews are urging parents to make sure their children are safe as they play in the sea this summer.

Yesterday, a nine year-old boy was swept out to sea on a flotation device and had to be rescued by the lifeboat in Peel.

Malcolm Kelly of the RNLI says he fears a combination of good weather and school holidays could mean more youngsters getting into difficulties.

And he's warning parents it's something that can happen within minutes.
