Age of first time drunk up to 14

Teenagers on the Isle of Man are apparently starting drinking later.

Latest figures show the average age of a first time drunk has increased from 13 to 14.

Despite this, binge drinking is still considered a big issue among Manx teens.

In the United Kingdom there are calls for alcohol prices to be raised to make binge drinking more difficult.

Director of the Island's Drug and Alcohol Strategy Margaret O'Reilly says people drink for many different reasons:
