Backers threaten to drop festival

A music and film charity festival, planned for next weekend, is battling to survive because of poor ticket sales.

Mannifest is due to take place at the Nunnery, featuring local and international groups and headlined by Kosheen.

But financial backers were threatening to pull the plug unless 500 tickets could be sold by the end of today.

Organiser Hal Kennard says there has been massive interest, and is appealing for people to support the event which will raise cash for Manx charities Hospice Isle of Man, and Transition Isle of Man:
