Electric cars hit the Island!

An Island car dealer says he hopes to persuade people to swap their petrol-driven cars for electric vehicles this year.

Steve Burrows will be bringing a range electric cars to the Island, from September.

The first model is the Citroen Ev'ie which can be recharged from the mains at home or from four public charging points around the Island.

Mr Burrows says electric cars aren't a new idea, but the latest generation may finally have cracked the technology required:
