Could Your Food be a Winner with Winner?

by isleofman.com 5th August 2009

Could you or someone you know impress one of Britain’s most famous restaurant critics with your cooking?

Michael Winner, the controversial movie director turned feared food critic, is offering a once-in-a-lifetime TV opportunity to talented amateur cooks on the Isle of Man.

Dining Stars, a prime time reality show being planned by ITV, will follow the fortunes of Britain's hidden kitchen talents as they prepare a meal to impress Winner's taste buds.

Winner will go to the homes of the participants and rate his dining experience with a 1-3 star system. The most successful contestant will be invited to Winner's Kensington mansion to prepare a meal to remember for the critic and his pals.

Anyone fearing a Gordon Ramsay-style tongue lashing needn't worry: speaking to the Daily Mail, Michael Winner commented, "I am not going to be cruel to the contestants. It's going to be fun".

Dining Stars, which is earmarked for early 2010, is now calling high and low across the British Isles for unsung gastronomic geniuses.

If you think you've got what it takes to whisk up a feast for Winner, simply email diningstars@12yard.com for more information and an application form.

Alternatively, you can write, requesting an application form and providing your address, to:
