The weather has been giving them food for thought, not least in relation to conditions under foot, but Royal Manx Agricultural Show organisers are confident ahead of the event at Staward Farm, Sulby this weekend.
On Sunday, and again yesterday, they put out an appeal for traders not to move their vehicles into position on the show field, in a bid to avoid a repeat of last year's mud bath.
But president of the Royal Manx Show Barry Cowin is looking forward to a good turnout, and says one particular attraction could make a welcome return:
