Get Your Fill of Live Music at Lunchtime

Following the success of the first 'Soundbites' series in April 2009, the Isle of Man Arts Council has unveiled a second week of music during lunch hours at the Villa Marina Arcade.

 

Soundbites will run from will run from Monday 10th to Friday 14th August between 1pm and 2pm, with free admittance to the general public.

 

The line-up for the week will be another mix of local bands and artists, again featuring some of the Island's best native talent. 

 

Soundbites Line-Up

 

10th August  Beautiful Music
11th August  Strengyn
12th August  David Holland
13th August  Redgap
14th August  Blue John and Papa Cass

 

Performances will begin at 1.10pm and finish at approximately 1.50pm. Everyone is welcome to bring their lunch with them.

 

Emma Callin, Arts Development Manger, says “We’re finding the refurbished Villa Marina Arcade a great setting for live music.

 

"Our Brass Band and Manx Music seasons are going very well in the Arcade this summer and we hope to have another successful week of Soundbites following its popularity earlier this year.

 

"Free, live music and a lovely place to eat your lunch, what a brilliant lunch hour!”
