?40,000 appeal launched today

A massive appeal is being launched today to get an acclaimed exhibition about the experiences of Anne Frank during the Nazi holocaust to the Isle of Man.

It's planned to stage 'Anne Frank And You' at St German's Cathedral in Peel, but ?40,000 will have to be raised for that to happen.

The Frank family hid in an attic in Amsterdam for two years before they were betrayed and sent to death camps.

Anne's diary written during that time has become world famous.

Project coordinator for the exhibition Catherine Quirk says it also deals with some contemporary issues (play audio file):
