Broadway musical opens

One of the great Broadway shows of all time returns to the Island this evening (Monday)..

More than 20 years after it was last performed here, the enduring Rodgers and Hammerstein musical 'The King & I' opens at the Gaiety Theatre.

It's curtain up for Taylorian Productions at 7.30 and producer Matthew James believes local audiences are in for a treat (play audio file):

'The King & I' will be staged 14 times between this evening and Saturday, August 15, including two matinee performances.
