The Mayor is delighted the Manx Electricity Authority's new shop has opened in the town centre.
Mike Gelling says it's brought a much-needed boost to Strand Street, which has seen a number of shop closures over the last year or so and is looking tired.
The new store is in the Strand Shopping Centre, where Mk One used to be, and was opened by Chief Minister Tony Brown this morning (Saturday).
Speaking at the opening, Mr Gelling told John Moss, Douglas Corporation is continuing to work on sprucing up the town centre.
