The manager of Davisons Ice Cream insists the decision to open the parlour on Douglas promenade later into the evening is a worthwhile move, despite the bad weather predicted for August.
Ian Davison is opening the shop until 8pm each night now the school holidays are here, to accommodate children and families and an expected increase in demand for the company's products.
He says there are plans to expand the shop and it could happen as soon as next summer:
