The organ in Peel Cathedral, which is over 120 years old, could be replaced by a modern electric model.
The current instrument is in need of work to bring it up to scratch, and buying a new one would also be costly.
Peter Taylor, the man responsible for the maintenance of the 50 organs on the Island, believes the present organ could be restored, but Canon Nigel Godfrey says it's no longer suitable for use in a cathedral:
