Onchan man accused of speeding in UK

An Onchan man has been accused of speeding at almost twice the limit on a motorway in the United Kingdom.

Sixty year-old David Boothman, of King Edward Road is charged with driving at 138 miles an hour at Brunthwaite in West Yorkshire on February 8.

Police claim he was clocked doing the speed as he drove his Bentley along the M6.

He wasn't at Monday's hearing at South Lakeland Magistrates Court, and the case was adjourned until August 10.
