If you’ve ever wanted to dress up in a Mickey Mouse costume but been too embarrassed to do so, then a forthcoming attraction provides the perfect opportunity to go for broke!
The theme for this year’s Isle of Man Children Centre’s Family Fun Day is Disney.
And the IOMCC are encouraging anyone who feels brave enough to come along in a Disney costume to dress for the occasion!
'In previous years, we’ve had Bananaman and Superhero as the theme. This year, we thought Disney would be a popular idea and people are more than welcome to attend in fancy dress,' said the IOMCC’s event organiser Michelle O’Malley.
The Disney Family Fun Day, sponsored by Paragon International Recruitment, takes place on Sunday 16th August at Silverdale, the venue which has successfully hosted the event in previous years.
With Paragon’s support, all the money raised will go towards Mobex, Out2Play, Child Contact Centre, Philip Christian Centre and family mediation service which are the Isle of Man Children’s Centre’s charitable projects.
The Family Fun Day has always attracted a bumper turnout and 2009 promises to be just as exciting with a wide range of activities planned, including smoothie making and a treasure hunt.
The IOMCC Out2Play team will be also laying on variety of games for the youngsters. In addition, Dizzy Ducks and Silverdale Cafe will be supporting the festivities on the day.
Paragon Director Debbie Harris said the agency was delighted to take the opportunity to support the Centre: 'We know this will be a fantastic family day, raising much appreciated funds to assist in the many essential services the Centre and its people provide'.
