Public views sought on Sulby Claddaghs

by isleofman.com 28th July 2009

New rules are planned for one of the Island's popular campsites.

The Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry wants to reduce the size of the camping area at Sulby Claddaghs, install two showers and provide a warden, 24 hours a day.

At present there are concerns about the amount of litter being left at the site and the number of campers, which is making it difficult for the facilities to be used for picnics and other family activities.

DAFF is asking for responses to the proposed changes by September 7.

It is hoped the changes will ensure the site is available for future generations to use.
