Well wishers gathered along Douglas Promenade yesterday afternoon, to salute current and former servicemen and women in the annual Armed Forces Day parade.
It was led by a marching band and joined by veterans, cadets, members of the emergency services and a small cavalcade of vintage cars.
The promenade fell quiet just after 3pm as the parade made its way to a church service before a get-together with entertainment in the Villa Marina.
Many onlookers clapped as those who have served their country passed by.
