by isleofman.com 25th July 2009

Belinda Cooil's shorthorn cow has been crowned supreme champion at the Southern District Agricultural Show, at Great Meadow, Castletown.

The accolade of reserve champion went to an Aberdeen Angus bull owned by the president of the Manx National Farmers' Union, Howard Quayle.

Alan and Sandra Jones took second reserve with a Belgian Blue, while the sheep named the third reserve belonged to Neil and Vicky Sloane.

The show continues on Sunday, when the attractions will include taekwondo demonstrations, dog racing, show jumping, children's sports, and a display by stunts rider Steve Colley.
