Reassurance from police after attack

by isleofman.com 25th July 2009

Police say women around Johnny Watterson's Lane and Governor's Hill shouldn't be worried, despite a man exposing himself to a 60 year-old woman in the area.

The woman was walking her dog in a field opposite the Cat With No Tail pub when man approached her, at lunchtime on Thursday.

The man is believed to be in his mid-20s, around five foot nine and of slim build.

He was wearing dark clothing.

PC Tony Lawler from Onchan Police Station says such attacks are very rare in the Isle of Man (play audio file):

Anybody with information is asked to ring Police Headquarters on 631212 or the anonymous Crimestoppers line on 0800 555 111.
