There's a cracking day out in store as one of the busiest and most important weekends in the Island's agricultural calendar kicks off today.
The Southern Agricultural Show is open to the public from 10am at Great Meadow near Castletown, and is set to be one of the best attended of recent years, with the organisers struggling to fit in all the trade stands.
For the farming community though, the main event will be the judging of the livestock competition, and the awarding of the prize of supreme champion.
