The Manx Motor Cycle Club has announced a new race day sponsor for the 2009 Manx Grand Prix Races - HEL Performance.

The firm specialises in the manufacture of all stainless steel motorcycle brake lines and hoses in over 60 countries around the world.

Managing director, Simon Lane has described it as a dream come true and says, "‘We all know it comes down to pounds, shillings and pence but the opportunity to sponsor a race day could not be missed by our company.

"We had been in negotiations with the TT this year, but really wanted the Manx - It just seemed to fit our profile better.

"Less of the razzmatazz of the ‘other’ race on the Island and the opportunity to get in front of 30,000 real racing fans, it’s just a great opportunity for us."

HEL Performance will sponsor the opening race day of the 2009 MGP on Monday, August 31st, with the first event away being the Newcomers and Post Classic, starting at 10.15am, followed by the Junior / Lightweight Classic Race at 1.15pm, both over four laps.
