Curphey, Lowey, Callister and Challenor through to golf semis

Michael Curphey is through to the semi-finals of the Grant Thornton Island Golf Championship.

The Douglas player overcame Ramsey’s Davy Jones at the 20th hole in last night’s quarter-final after the players were all square after 18.

Michael Curphey will meet Paul Lowey in this evening’s semi-final after the Rowany player defeated Chris Kneen of Castletown 5&4.

The other semi will be between Daryl Callister and Andrew Challenor after they recorded victories over Tom Harris and Gary Corlett respectively.

Play starts at 17.00, and there'll be live coverage on the Back Page on Manx Radio from 18.30.
