Minority groups invited to open forum

by isleofman.com 22nd July 2009

Police in the Isle of Man are making efforts to reach out to what they call 'diverse elements of the community'.

They will are focusing on minority groups, such as people who are disabled or those who have recently arrived on the Island.

A forum is being held at Keyll Daree lecture theatre, alongside Noble's Hospital, and it's hoped representatives of a large number of groups will go along.

Deputy Chief Constable Gary Roberts says the people they are hoping to attract may have different expectations of the police (play audio file):

The open forum at Keyll Darree is next Monday, July 27, at 6.30pm.
