Government figures for the second quarter of 2009 show a big increase in the number of people visiting the Isle of Man.
The Department of Tourism and Leisure says there were just under 99,000 visitors from April to June, and they spent a total of ?5.2 million.
The arrivals figure was 19 per cent up on the same period last year, although the number of local residents returning to the Island was down by more than 13 per cent.
