Police in the Isle of Man are to host a forum to open discussion with what they call 'diverse elements of the community'.

The Constabulary says the local community is continually evolving, and it's important it recognises issues affecting the full range of minority, and other groupings.

The forum will give officers a chance to listen to feedback, including any concerns those who attend might have, and lay the groundwork for a partnership approach to tackling any problems.

Deputy Chief Constable Gary Roberts says the Constabulary's knowledge of the Island's diverse communities and their viewpoints is not all it could be and he's hoping the public will help rectify the situation.

The open forum will be in the lecture theatre at Keyll Darree, alongside Noble's Hospital, at 6.30pm next Monday, July 27.
