Visitor rescued from cliff

by isleofman.com 20th July 2009

A man had to be rescued from cliffs below Marine Drive, after becoming trapped about 100 feet down.

Coastguards were sent to Horses' Leap and recovered the man using a rescue harness.

An officer climbed down the cliff face and the two men were winched to safety.

The person who became trapped was a visitor from Europe.

Nobody was hurt and the rescue happened yesterday afternoon.
