by isleofman.com 18th July 2009

Longbow archery, stories about Henry the eighth and medieval cookery are just some of the activities on offer at Castle Rushen on Sunday.

The castle is celebrating its Medieval heritage with displays of weaponry, games and medicines from the period.

A story-teller will reveal the castle's links with Henry the eighth and tell the tales behind some of the tapestries there.

Curator of Archaeology for Manx National Heritage, Alison Fox, says there'll be something for everyone.

Gates open from 10am until 5pm and normal admission charges apply.
