IRIS study to assess energy consumption

by isleofman.com 18th July 2009

A study will be carried out to see if there are savings to be made in energy consumption for the IRIS Sewage Treatment Strategy.

So says the Minister for Transport.

David Anderson was responding to a written question in Tynwald this week after being quizzed by Onchan MHK Peter Karran on the IRIS Scheme for Port Erin, Port St Mary, Castletown and Ballasalla.

It has also come to light that the cost of the project per month is a little over ?22,500.

That includes the cost of pumping sewage from Colby, Ballabeg and Derbyhaven areas.
