Quarry Bends accident update

by isleofman.com 18th July 2009

Two motorists are still in Noble's Hospital, four days after a serious road accident at Quarry Bends, near the Curraghs Wildlife Park.

A 17-year-old from Ramsey is described as stable, with no change in his condition.

The driver of the other vehicle, Manx Radio presenter Bob Carswell, is said to be comfortable.

Mr Carswell is 58 and lives in Peel.

The accident happened not long before midnight on Monday, and on Thursday police closed part of the A3, between the Ballacriy Road junction and the Sulby Glen Crossroads, so investigators could examine the scene of the collision.

Police are asking anybody with information about the accident to ring the station in Ramsey, on 812234.
