Coroner to hear more evidence on TT death

by isleofman.com 18th July 2009

The inquest into the death of a TT rider from the Isle of Man resumes at Douglas Courthouse today.

Fifty-five year-old John Crellin suffered multiple injuries when he crashed on the Mountain Mile, during the Senior Race at TT 2009.

Mr Crellin had recently returned to the Island from his third attempt to climb Mount Everest, and earlier in the day had claimed a podium place in the inaugural TTXGP.

Later, Mr Moyle will open and adjourn an inquest on father of four Michael Murphy, whose body was found at his home in Laureston Grove, Douglas last weekend.

He will also hear further evidence on the death of a 20-year-old Foxdale man who was found hanged at the old railway lines, near Ballanass, in April.

Start time for first inquest: 10.30am.
