Aaron hopes his sea legs hold out!

by isleofman.com 18th July 2009

A pupil from Ballakermeen High School is taking to the sea today, to raise money for a local charity.

Sixteen year-old Aaron Kelly is one of two finalists in the Sure Apprentice competition, and for his final task he will complete a full day's sailings onboard the Steam Packet fast craft Manannan for 'Wish Upon a Dream'.

The charity grants wishes to sick and terminally ill children in the Isle of Man.

If Aaron wins the competition he will get a job with Sure over the summer, but he says he's not particularly good at sea and the challenge should really test him:
