Community service for man who attacked girlfriend?

A man who gripped his girlfriend by the throat and banged her head against a wall has been bailed by High Bailiff Michael Moyle.

Bascar Cassama, of Templar Terrace in Ramsey, admitted assaulting Tracey Burgess at a house in North Shore Road .

Police were sent to a domestic disturbance at the house, at 10.40pm on June 28.

Cassama's advocate suggested his client would be suitable for community service assessment.

Mr Moyle agreed and released him on bail until next Tuesday.
