The senior police officer who investigated the death of William 'Billy' Rogers is pleased his killer's 'never ending lies' were dimissed by the jury.
Arizona Devine Watterson was yesterday sentenced to eight years in prison for manslaughter following Mr Rogers' death, and a further twelve months for perverting the course of justice.
Detective Chief Inspector Sid Caine says Mr Rogers' family feel like he has been stolen from them.
Mr Rogers died in March last year after Watterson stabbed him with a 14.5 centimetre ceremonial dagger.
She said the incident was an accident which happened as a result of a stabbing game, but the jurors didn't believe her.
