Following overwhelming demand for tickets to see Michael McIntyre perform at the Villa Marina, the Department of Tourism and Leisure is delighted to announce that a second performance has been agreed.
The second show will take place on Wednesday 12th August.
Martyn Quayle MHK, Minister for Tourism and Leisure, said 'I am delighted to confirm that the Department has secured a second show from the incredibly popular Michael McIntyre.
'I would like to convey my thanks to Mr McIntyre for finding time in his busy schedule to ensure more of his fans here in the Isle of Man can get an opportunity to see him perform.'
Tickets will go on sale on at 10.00 a.m. Saturday 18th July. Customers can call in, in person, to the Welcome Centre at the Sea Terminal or call the Ticket Hotline on 694555.
Tickets will be limited to 4 per transaction and will not be available to buy online or at the Villa Marina itself.
Due to difficulties with the online ticketing system last Friday a small number of tickets were unsold following the initial ticket release for the performance on Tuesday 11th August and these tickets will go on sale at the same time.
Customers intending to book via the Ticket Hotline are reminded that there is no queuing system.
There will be three dedicated operators taking telephone bookings but the Department cannot guarantee a response.
Customers are therefore encouraged to book tickets in person at the Welcome Centre at the Sea Terminal.
Demand for tickets is expected to be high and we thank customers in advance for their patience.
The Minister added 'The Department has listened to feedback following the initial release of tickets for the Michael McIntyre show.
'As a result, tickets for his second performance will be made available on Saturday 18th July from the Welcome Centre in person and on the Ticket Hotline only.
'In order to ensure that as many people as possible can access tickets, we are limiting each transaction to four tickets.'
The Minister added 'The Villa Marina and Gaiety Theatre continually strives to provide the best and fairest possible service to customers when buying tickets.
'We recognise that there have been problems with ticket sales recently for popular events and are working to ensure these problems are not repeated in future.
'We greatly appreciate the support we receive from everyone in the Island and hope to announce more exciting entertainment in the near future.'
