Tour de France rest day

by isleofman.com 13th July 2009

There was a terrific finish to stage nine of the Tour de France yesterday - the last for the riders in the Pyrenees.

Frenchman Pierrick Fedrigo pipped Italy's Franco Pellizotti in a sprint finish.

Italy's Rinaldo Nocentini retains the leader's yellow jersey as the riders have their first rest day on this year's tour.

Manxman Mark Cavendish remains 11 points behind Norwegian Thor Hushovd in the points competition for the green jersey, with neither scoring any points in the most recent stage.
