Higgins could be out of Rally Isle of Man

by isleofman.com 11th July 2009

Contrary to earlier reports it looks like Mark Higgins' Rally Isle of Man is over due to technical problems.

The Manxman is bidding to become the first person to win the event five times and things were looking good yesterday as he held a 62 second lead over his main rival Keith Cronin.

But a seized clutch looks to have put paid to that, as the rally's Media Officer Chris Boyd told Edward Oldham a short time ago: (audio clip attached)

Today's action is due to get under way at 9 o' clock this morning.
