Excitement is building ahead of an all-night bat search in Kirk Michael tomorrow.
The Manx Bat Group has organised its annual sleepover with members of the public welcome, although young people must be accompanied by an adult.
The event is held in memory of former chairman and treasurer of the Group Penny Gillman and will feature a talk on bats followed by a walk around the village, identifying any bats encountered from dusk until around midnight.
After a short rest, members will rise before dawn to see bats returning to their roosts.
Hot drinks and snacks will be provided but those staying overnight should bring bedding, a torch and warm clothing.
