Bee Gees 'honoured and humbled'

The Bee Gees were given a fantastic reception outside Douglas Town Hall this afternoon, when they stepped out to talk to crowds of fans after being honoured with the freedom of the Borough of Douglas.

Barry and Robin Gibb said they were honoured and humbled with the recognition from the town of their birth.

The brothers were the guests of honour at a special presentation ceremony, with the council extending the honour to their late brother Maurice.

Today's event has been many months in the planning and has attracted widespread international media interest.
