War memorials committee creates databases

The chairman of a new government body, set up to oversee the preservation of war memorials in the Isle of Man, says it's vital they remain a fitting tribute to the sacrifices made.

The Preservation of War Memorials Committee will develop databases of memorials and graves and submit an annual report to the Council of Ministers.

Adrian Earnshaw says the Island has a large number of memorials of different types:
