The conferment of the Freedom of Douglas on the Bee Gees will take place during a special sitting of the Borough Council, at lunchtime on Friday.
Barry and Robin Gibbb will arrive at the Town Hall at 12.50pm, ten minutes before the private ceremony is due to begin.
The ceremony will include the presentation of an illuminated address by the Mayor, Councillor Michael Gelling, and commemorative Bee Gees stamps and coins.
Leader of the Council David Christian says the Gibb brothers are worthy recipients (play audio file):
The two brothers - and Robin's twin Maurice, who died in 2003 - will join an elite group of Freemen, which includes Sir Winston Churchill, Sir Norman Wisdom and Geoff Duke.
