IOM Post explains impact of UK strikes

by isleofman.com 7th July 2009

Another strike by Royal Mail workers in the United Kingdom will disrupt postal services between the Isle of Man and London this week.

The Communication Workers Union is staging a rolling series of 24-hour stoppages in the UK capital from tomorrow until Friday.

Deliveries to most postcode districts in London will be disrupted.

Anyone sending standard mail to London from today should expect its arrival to be delayed.

Isle of Man Post says the action does not affect its next-day guaranteed service and confirms its employees on the Island are not involved in the industrial action.
