The flowers are in place and teapots are primed – and it’s all things bright and beautiful.
That’s the title of the 2009 Manx Heritage Flower Festival which gets underway on Sunday morning.
Seventeen churches and chapels around the Island are taking part in the week-long event which runs daily from 10.30am until 7.30pm.
As well as floral displays, it includes photographs and paintings with a wide selection of refreshments available, including cream teas, morning coffee and lunches.
Free souvenir pamphlets listing all the participating churches and special events during the Festival are available from the Isle of Man Welcome Centre at the Sea Terminal in Douglas or you can find out more at manxflowerfestival.org
