'Serious assaults' after concert - witness appeal

Rock music fans who were at the Complete Stone Roses gig at the Villa Marina last Friday may be able to help police as they investigate two serious assaults.

Two men were hospitalised in the unprovoked attack, which happened at 10.30pm at the bottom of Derby Road, near Glen Falcon Gardens.

The offenders are believed to be three men in their early 20s.

Police is Douglas want to speak to anyone who knows anything about the incident.

They would also like to identify a young man who was escorted away by security staff, after he ran onstage at the end of the concert.

It is believed he could have vital information about the attack.

He is described as being in his early 20s, about five feet, nine inches tall, with wavy, collar length, dark hair, and wearing a pale blue shirt.

Anyone who can help is asked to contact police on 631212 or phone the anonymous Crimestoppers line on 0800 555 111.
