Assault after Douglas Concert
Douglas Police are investigating a report of an assault on two males that took place at approximately 10.30pm on Friday 26th June 2009 at the bottom of Derby Road by Glen Falcon Gardens.
The offenders in this attack are believed to be three males in their early 20s. This attack was shortly after the ‘Complete Stone Roses’ concert and there may have been people leaving the Villa Marina at the time who witnessed this unprovoked incident.
Police Constable Watterson of the Douglas Neighbourhood Policing Team states 'This was an unprovoked assault that left two males requiring hospital treatment. It is vital that these males are identified and dealt with to prevent this type of unacceptable behaviour in our neighbourhood.'
Police would also like to identify and speak with a male who ran on to the stage at the end of the ‘Complete Stone Roses’ concert and had to be escorted away by security. It is believed that this male may have vital information in relation to the assault and would urge him or anyone who can identify him to contact the police.
The male is described to be in his early 20s, 5’9” tall, collar length dark wavy hair and wearing a pale blue coloured long sleeved shirt.
Constable Watterson would like anyone who may have knowledge of this offence or the persons responsible to contact him or any member of the Douglas Policing Team on 631212. Alternatively, information can be left on the Isle of Man Crimestoppers line on 0800 555 111.

Ayres Signs Stolen
Between 4.30pm Tuesday 30th June 2009 and 9.00am Wednesday 1st July 2009, 49 placard style information signs were stolen from the Ayres Recreational area at Smeale.
Some of the signs were No Camping and No Fire signs; others read DOG ON LEAD - CAUTION: GROUND NESTING BIRDS.
Ramsey Police are very interested to speak to anyone that has any knowledge of this offence. It is a vulnerable time for small sea birds nesting in the area and the signs have been specifically placed to keep people and dogs away from them.
The theft of the signs is irresponsible and detrimental to the well being of the animal life within the restricted areas.
Anyone with information is requested to call PC Grainger at Ramsey Police Station 812234
