Roadworks Between Glen Mooar and Glen Helen

by isleofman.com 2nd July 2009

The section of the A3 Ballacraine to Kirk Michael road between the former Glen Mooar Garage and Glen Helen will be resurfaced this month.

The works are necessary due to the failure of the running surface and will take place between Monday, 13th July and Saturday, 18th July.

Director of Highways Bruce Hannay said ‘The resurfacing work will be carried out during normal working hours only. This means that the road will be closed to traffic between 9.15am and 4.30pm on each day.

‘However, access will be maintained to the Glen Helen Inn and for residents as required and diversions will be put in place on the Peel-Michael Coast Road.

'Isle of Man Transport’s bus services will be assisted to help them pass through the road works uninterrupted.’
