June this year lived up to its reputation for once, and was dry, warm and sunny.
However, it also saw the third lowest grass temperature on record for the month, according to figures released by the Meteorological Office at Ronaldsway.
The average daytime temperature was 18 Celsius, a full two degrees above the long term mean, and the warmest day was the second, when the mercury rose to 25.1 Celsius.
However, at the other end of the scale, there were a few cool spots.
Temperatures only reached 11.8 Celsius on the sixth, and overnight on the 11th and 12th there was a ground frost. The grass thermometer dipped to minus 1.7 Celsius, the first June frost since 1991.
Total rainfall for the month was 41 millimetres, 25% down on the long term mean, and there were 250 hours of sunshine.
In another curious quirk of 'summer' weather, hail at Glen Helen delayed the start of TT racing on June 10.
