Teenage licensing issue under review

A review is under way to assess whether 16 and 17 year-olds should be legally entitled to have a meal and a soft drink in pubs in the Isle of Man.

Although there's no law against it at present, the decision is often left to the discretion of individual landlords.

The political member with responsibility for the chief minister’s drug and alcohol strategy, South Douglas MHK Bill Malarkey, understands their concerns:
