New homegrown product to appear on the shelves

Rapeseed oil grown, pressed and bottled in the Isle of Man is to go on sale soon.

Pentti Christian, the farmer behind the initiative, has undertaken years of testing and tasting on his farm at Ellerslie near Crosby, and is finally ready to put his homegrown cooking oil on the market.

He says the decision to begin manufacturing the product came about almost by accident:
