A plea has gone out to walkers not to disturb ground nesting seabirds in the far north of the Isle of Man.
Of particular concern are the Arctic Terns which are up at the Point of Ayre at this time of year.
The birds nest among the shingle on the beach and are easily disturbed as their eggs are very well camouflaged among the stones.
An area of the beach has been taped off to protect both the eggs and unsuspecting walkers, as the birds will defend their nests and attack anyone who gets too close.
