Great day for tin bath racing

Hundreds of people gathered in Castletown at the weekend to raise thousands of pounds for local charities.

Castletown Ale Drinkers Society held the town’s annual World Tin Bath Championships in bright sunshine on Saturday.

Racing took place in the harbour, with entertainment provided by Castletown Metropolitan Silver Band.

Port St Mary lifeboat crew gave tours of their vessel.

Organiser David Callister took part in the racing, and told Jason Roberts he'd been trying to break records:
