Manx Radio's chairman has been looking forward to the next 45 years in the station's history.
David North was speaking at a ceremony in Onchan to commemorate the first broadcast, from a caravan in a field in Onchan, on June 29, 1964.
To mark the anniversary, a commemorative plaque was unveiled on the gatepost of the bungalow which has been built on the site.
